Moshe Teitch, Writer, Dies in Moscow at 53

Moshe Teitch, well known Jewish newspaper man, short story writer and lyrical poet, died here yesterday at the age of 53.

Teitch was born in Wartazi, in the Wilno district of Poland. From early youth he was active in the affairs of the Bund, Jewish workers’ party. In 1901, he was arrested for political activities, He had lived in Moscow since 1918 and was associate editor of the Emess, Yiddish Communist daily here. In addition he acted as correspondent for the Freiheit, New York City Yiddish Communist daily, and the Presse, Argentine newspaper.
