Arabs Quiet on Balfour Declaration’s 18th Anniversary

The eighteenth anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, which it was expected the Arabs would utilize for a strike and other demonstrations, passed quietly today.

The only meeting of any size was held at Nablus with a few Arab leaders attending. Even the Arab press, which usually marks the occasion with severe editorial attacks against the declaration by which England promised Palestine as a Jewish national home, was silent.
