Two Arabs were reported wounded when the farmers returned the band’s fire. A number of mules were injured in the attack.

It was reported that Arab rebel headquarters have imposed taxes on Arab towns and villages. Jaffa, largest Arab city, is understood to have been taxed $30,000. Collection of the taxes by Arab bands is believed to have started today.
