The Gestapo, secret State police, today released Dr. Franz Meyer and Benno Cohn, Zionist leaders arrested on Sept. 24, and dropped charges against them, none of which had been disclosed.
The two were held in Gestapo headquarters in the Alexanderplatz for eleven days, Dr. Meyer is executive head of the German Zionist Federation and Mr. Cohn a member of the executive.
They were arrested the same week as Rabbis Emil Cohn and Max Nussbaum, Jewish leaders, both of whom have been freed.
