Hess Blames Boycott for Food Shortage

Rudolf Hess, Chancellor Adolf Hitler’s chief deputy, today blamed the anti-Nazi boycott and the lack of colonial possessions for Germany’s food shortage in a speech at Hof, Bavaria.

The boycott, Hess declared, had resulted in a temporary shortage of foreign exchange. He added that “Hitler’s people” would never capitulate.
