A brawl between Jews and Italians in a cafe in Kaunas, Lithuania, was raised to a diplomatic incident today when it was announced in an official Government news broadcast.
According to the broadcast report, Jews attacked Italian Fascists in a cafe, resulting in a serious clash in which the Fascists soon got the upper hand. The Italian consul immediately lodged a vigorous protest with the Lithuanian Foreign Affairs Ministry and was promised satisfaction, the report said.
