Replying to a query from the floor, Colonial Secretary William Ormsby-Gore told the House of Commons today that Lieut.-General J. G. Dill, who is in command of British military forces in Palestine, will not take over the reins of Government if High Commissioner Sir Arthur Wauchope visits England.

The Colonial Secretary said he does not anticipate any departure from the normal routine, according to which the Chief Secretary assumes control in the absence of the High Commissioner.
