How to combat anti-Semitism was the chief topic of discussion yesterday as the congress of Jewish labor unions opened here with several thousand delegates and guests in attendance. The congress represents 75,000 organized Jewish workers.

The necessity of fighting anti-Semitism was stressed in greetings to the congress by representatives of the Polish Socialist Party. Honrik Ehrlich, of the Bund, Jewish labor party, spoke on the situation of the Jewish masses in Poland. Cabled greetings were read from many foreign organizations, including the Workmen’s Circle of America.
