An urgent appeal to German parents and educators to resist “anti-Christian tendencies” in education was issued today by Dr. Eger, president of the “Old Prussian Union,” directive committee of the Evangelical Church.

“We know that our people is tempted to turn away from Christ, with whom it has lived for a thousand years,” his appeal said.

By virtue of Dr. Eger’s statement the Evangelical Church officially adopted an attitude toward religious education similar to that taken by the Catholic Church in the Reich.
