The Nazi authorities have ordered the closing of the only sanatorium in Germany for Jewish men consumptives, located at Badsoden, near Wiesbaden. Jews thereby lose the only place where they can receive treatment since German sanatoria do not, as a rule, accept them.

The Badsoden sanatorium was supported by Jewish welfare funds and had been in existence for many years before the Nazis came into power. Some Jewish patients will be accommodated temporarily in Jewish hospitals in the larger cities while others will be sent home until the problem of providing treatment for them is solved by central Jewish organizations in Berlin.

The order to close the institution was issued by the mayor of Badsoden and approved by the Nazi central authorities.
