Dr. Georg Bernhard, editor of the Pariser Tageszeitung, announced today he would appeal against a lower court’s verdict in which he was found guilty of libeling Vladimir Poliakoff, publisher of the Pariser Tageblatt, by declaring he had sold his paper to Nazi interests.

The court yesterday fined Dr. Bernhard 200 francs and ordered him to pay 10,000 francs moral damages to Mr. Poliakoff. Dr. Bernhard also was ordered to have published, at his own expense, the verdict in five newspapers chosen by Mr. Poliakoff.
