The congress of the Federation of League of Nations Societies has asked the League to convoke an international conference to solve the Jewish problem in eastern and central Europe, urging that the Jewish agency for Palestine be included among the invited nations.

A resolution adopted by the congress stresses the need for international action to maintain the universal principle of equality of rights for all. The conference would assist overpopulated countries to develop territories to support a larger population, help the Jews to create a national home in Palestine, promote the migration of some to other countries where there is room for increased population and help the Jews to settle in sparsely inhabited territories.

The congress also adopted a declaration, without dissent, expressing disquietude over the Rumanian revision of citizenships on the ground that it might deprive of Rumanian citizenship persons lawfully entitled to it under the minorities treaties. The minorities committee of the congress is submitting a general resolution on the rumanian denationalization question.
