Count Damien de Martel, French High Commissioner for Syria, assured Foreign Minister George Bonnet at a conference today that all measures would be taken to prevent terrorists from operating from French mandated ter- ritory. He pledged strong action, particularly in checking smuggling of arms into Palestine for use of Arab terrorist bands. Further conferences are expected to be held by M. Bonnet with the commander of the Syrian Levant army and the Syrian Premier, both of whom are scheduled to arrive shortly.
