The British Zionist Federation today called a series of meetings in the capital for next week to protest any departure from the Balfour Declaration.

The Havas News Agency said a trustworthy source informed it that Colonial Secretary MacDonald was now holding secret parleys with emissaries of Haj Amin el Husseini, exiled Mufti of Jerusalem.

Unflinching restoration of order and protection of the Jews already in Palestine was advocated as British policy by Winston Churchill today in the event the proposed partition of the Holy Land is abandoned. Writing in the Daily Telegraph, the noted statesman also urged that assurance be given the Arabs that the annual Jewish immigration would not exceed a certain figure for at least a decade.
