Lord Balfour’s Estate Given As Refugee Asylum

The Jewish community today expressed gratitude for the offer of the late Lord Balfour’s estate at Haddington as an asylum for German-Jewish refugee children. The offer was made yesterday by Viscount Traprain, Lord Balfour’s nephew and heir. The Balfour estate, “Whittingehame House,” will accommodate 200 children.
