Download PDF for this date

More than 2,000 Jews are affected by the Japanese blockade of the British and French concessions here. Most of them have businesses within the concessions, while a number reside in Japanese-controlled sections of the city. A majority of the Tientsin Jews are of Russian origin, having come here via Harbin. Only a few are German Jews, with refugees among their number.
