Britain Tightens Law on Marking of Foreign Products

The House of Commons today unanimously granted permission for introduction of a bill amending the Merchandise Marks Act to require that goods produced in Germany, Italy and Japan be conspicuously marked with the country of origin instead of the present label of “foreign.”
