A Polish Government communique said today that 6,000 Jewish families have been expelled from Lodz and reported deportation of Poles and Jews from other localities was continuing. Expulsions have occurred in all towns of the regions of Cichanos and Wloclawek, with the deportees permitted to take with them only 20 marks and a small supply of food, the statement said.

Jewish and Polish women, children and young girls are being seized in virtually every city of Nazi Poland and are being shipped to military zones for the use of German soldiers, the communique said. Large groups of women and girls have been transported from Kalisz “and a number of other cities,” the Government stated, and “there is great concern over their fate.”
