The question of applying the principle of fair labor conditions to public works construction by the War Department in Palestine has been raised in the House of Commons by Arthur Creech Jones, Labor M.P.

Colonial Secretary Malcolm MacDonald replied that it was the declared policy of the Palestine Government to ensure fair conditions of labor under Government work safeguards provided by legislation. He promised to look into the question of War Office construction.
