A revenue increase of 10.5 percent was recorded by the Palestine Electric Company during 1939, a general meeting was told today by Chairman Lord Samuel, who emphasized that the gain was registered despite disturbed conditions in Palestine for several months last year and the war.
Net profit for the year, however, showed a decrease to £151,435 as against £183,192 in 1938. In view of the international situation, the board decided to pass the dividend on the ordinary and “A” ordinary shares for 1939.
