It was reported from Bucharest today that Dr. William Filderman, president of the Union of Rumanian Jews, intervened with the Interior Minister against the threatened expulsion of Jewish refugees from Bessarabia and North Bukovina, and the Minister promised to examine the question.

The Bucharest newspaper Porunca Vremii continues its attacks on Dr. Filderman, reprinting his home address. The paper declares that the reaction against Jews in Rumania is complete as France and Britain have lost influence and the United States is too far away to help the Jews.
