Judge Gad Frumkin of the Palestine Supreme Court was made Honorary Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the King’s New Year’s honors’ list. Moses Paicovich, trains controller of the Palestine Railways, was made honorary member of the Order.

Three Palestine Jews received the British Empire Medal. Kalman Jacob Cohen, assistant superintendent of Palestine police, received the King’s Police Medal and Inspector Pinhas Mitelman, the Colonial Police Medal.

David Jacob Cohen, member of the Calcutta Legislative Council; Henry Lesser, president of the National Federation of Employees of Approved Societies, and Lieut.-Col. Barnard Alfred Goldstein were named Officers of the British Empire. Squadron Leader Ronald Joseph Cohen of the New Zealand Air Force was awarded the Air Force Cross.
