Jacob Newman, internationally known scholar and since 1921 head of the department of Jewish history at the Hebrew Teachers College here died today after a long illness.
More than 500 students, graduates of the Hebrew Teachers College, associates and friends gathered at services held in the H.T.C. library. Eulogies were delivered in English and in Hebrew.
