Weygand and with the French Government of Tunis and Morocco with regard to the “elimination of Jewish influence in the economic and political life in North Africa” has been reached by Xavier Vallat, Vichy’s commissioner for Jewish affairs, it was reported today from Vichy upon Vallat’s return there from his trip.

Vallat announced that an office for “Jewish Questions” will shortly be established in Algeria. He is now touring France giving lectures on the necessity of eliminating Jewish influence from the political and economic life of North Africa.
