Describing the late Justice Louis D. Brandeis as a “leader of world-wide honor in Jewry who took a great interest in Zionism,” the London Times today publishes a lengthy obituary praising Brandeis as “one of the most valuable judges that ever sat on the Supreme Court.”

The British Broadcasting Company in reporting Brandeis death stressed the fact that he was the first Jew to sit on the Supreme Court and that he was a Zionist leader.
