Jewish Refugee Women in England May Enroll in “auxiliary Territorial Service”

Jewish refugee women living in England may be enrolled in a non-British section of the Auxiliary Territorial Service and attached to the Pioneer Corps, it was stated today in the London Times.

In the same article the Times gives high praise to a company of the Pioneer Corps, composed mainly of German and Austrian Jewish refugees, which at present is engaged in constructing camps for armored units in Wiltshire. The Times special army correspondent reports that the company is quarrying its own stone, clearing sites in the woods and building living quarters down to the last electric connection. This is the same company that some time ago earned high praise for its service in London during heavy air raids.
