Mogen David brands are being burned on the hands of men and women in Vienna by the Nazi authorities, according to information reaching here from an Austrian Jewish girl who was sentenced to a year’s imprisonment but succeeded in escaping. The Mogen David is said to be burned on the hand with an electrically heated steel stamp.
Formerly, women were not sent to prison in large numbers, the report adds, but now the Vienna central prison is jammed with “non-Aryan” girls and women.
