Two small ships, each bearing about fifteen or twenty Jewish refugees fleeing from Nazi terror arrived in Istanbul from the Black See, but Turkish authorities immediately ordered them to leave port. The vessels, both of which it is believed originally came from Rumania, left this harbor for an unknown destination and grave fears were expressed concerning the fate of their refugee passengers.
