Jewish Generals and Submarine Commanders Will Address Anti-nazi Meeting in Moscow

Jewish generals of the Soviet Army and Jewish captains of Soviet submarines will be among the principal speakers to address the largest Jewish anti-Fascist demonstration ever held here, which will take place on May 24 in the House of the Federation of Labor Unions which is one of the largest in Moscow, it was announced here today.

The demonstration is being arranged by the Jewish Committee To Fight Fascism which was formed soon after the Nazi declaration of war against Soviet Russia. Jewish scientists, writers, artists and other intellectuals are members of this committee. The speeches delivered at the meeting, in which Jewish delegates from all over the country will participate, will be broadcast by shortwave to all parts of the world, including the United States.

The Committee today announced the publication of a new magazine in Jewish under the title “Einigkeit” (“Unity”). The purpose of the new publication will be “to help in the struggle of the Jews in the Soviet Union and abroad against Hitlerism.” The first issue will appear on the date of the Moscow meeting.
