King George today telegraphed a message of thanks to Chief Rabbi Dr. Hertz asking him to convey his appreciation to all Jewish communities in the British Empire, which sent the King congratulations on his birthday, June 10.
“In these anxious times I much appreciate your loyal assurances,” the message read.
