Jews and “Aryans” alike, who are interned in Spain as political refugees from Germany or Nazi-occupied countries, are now being handed over to the German authorities by the France Government for transportation to Eastern European territory for forced labor there, it was reported here today.
No distinction is made between men and women, the report says. All interned refugees are delivered by the Spanish police to a special German recruiting office which was established in Spain recently for the purpose of securing as much slave labor as possible.
On the other hand, it was reported here today from Norway that workers who are doing forced labor on Nazi fortifications there must sign a statement swearing that they are not of Jewish descent.
