Enlistment of Palestinian Jews in the British forces, which has been greatly increased in the last month as a result of the Axis threat to the country, has brought the total number of Jewish men and women serving in the armed forces to 16,411, it was announced here today. Of these 1,475 are women. This figure is exclusive of the 6,000 Jews serving with the supernumeraries. In the first eighteen days of July, 1,048 Jewish men and 306 Jewish women enlisted.
