A two-day conference of leading Jewish educators from all parts of Great Britain opened here today for the purpose of discussing means of “bringing British Jewry in line with the modern, nationality-conscious Hebraised Judaism.”

Reports were delivered on the extent of educational activities among British-Jewish children. Prof. Selig Brodetsky stressed the necessity of making the child acquainted not only with his people’s past but also with its future. A special session was devoted to religious training under war-time conditions. An all-Hebrew session will be held tomorrow. Among those participating are Prof. Brodetsky, Dr. Cecil Roth and other leading Jewish academicians and historians.
