Mass-killing of Jewish War Prisoners Taken on Russian Front Reported

Reports of the shooting of Jewish prisoners taken by the Nazis on the Russian front reached here today, and were confirmed by an article published in Nowo Widnokrengi, official organ of the Polish military forces in Russia.

The report says that large groups of Jewish prisoners were brought from various German camps to Chelm, in the Lublin district, and were all machine-gunned there. Earlier reports stated that when the Nazis capture prisoners on the Russian front, they separate them into Jewish and non-Jewish groups and gradually kill all the captured Jewish soldiers.

The story of how a Jewish soldier, Samuel Leibowitch, killed 505 Germans on the Southern front is reported today in the Soviet press.
