Nazi-controlled French Government Bans History Books by Jewish Authors

Quoting a Paris Radio broadcast, the Office of War Information today reported that the Nazi-controlled French Government has banned the use in secondary schools of two history books by Jewish authors.

The two prohibited history books are entitled, “Modern Times,” which was used “in the fourth form,” and “Contemporary History” which was a part of the “third form” curriculum. The names of the authors were not given in the report.
