Praise for the contributions made by Palestine Jewish farmers to the war effort through increased production and a hope for successful continuation of their efforts “for the benefit of the whole country,” was voiced here today by High Commissioner Sir Harold MacMichael in a message to a conference of Jewish Farmer’s Associations.

A delegation from the conference visited Chief Secretary James MacPherson today and discussed with him the shortage of agricultural laborers, machinery and fertilizer. Addressing the meeting today, Zvi Butkovsky, president of the farmers’ association, stated that any post-war reconstruction scheme must be based on the establishment of a Jewish National Home.
