Worshippers Crowd Wailing Wall; Jewish Soldiers Entertained During Rosh Hashonah

More than 10,000 Jewish worshippers thronged the area around the Wailing Wall during Rosh Hashonah observances here as other thousands jammed all synagogues to pray and hear sermons asking for the liberation of the Jews in Europe.

Special receptions were arranged here and in Tel Aviv for Jewish soldiers of all the Allied armies stationed in the Middle East who were given holiday leaves.
