Mexican Jewish Committee Will Investigate Treatment of Polish Jews in Santa Rosa

The Jewish Central Committee here will send a commission to the refugee camp at Santa Rosa to investigate the treatment of the Jewish refugees there who have complained that they are being terrorized by Polish refugees, it was stated here today.

At the same time, the Committee issued a statement declaring that it has concerned itself with the material and social welfare of the Polish-Jewish refugees with in the framework of an agreement between the Polish Government and the Mexican authorities concluded with the active assistance of the Government of the United States. Under this agreement, the 27 Jewish and the 700 non-Jewish refugees from Poland are not permitted to leave the colony of Santa Rosa, but all will be employed at his own trade under the auspices and guarantee of a government committee.
