The people of the democratic world “will not forget the role of the Jews, who have played a splendid part in this and other countries in the fight against the Nazis,” Minister of Information Brandan Bracken stated today addressing a luncheon of the Kisch Memorial Committee, which is planning to raise $400,000 to establish a colony in Palestine on which demobilized Jewish soldiers will be settled.

Discussing the participation of Jews in the war effort, Mr. Bracken said that it is likely that the first Allied army to invade Germany will be the Third White Russian Army led by General Ivan Chernyakhovsky, who is Jewish. Prof. Selig Brodetsky, president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, thanking Mr. Bracken for his address, expressed the hope that in view of the Jewish war contribution, Britain would see to it that after the war action is taken to radically improve the position of Jews throughout the world.
