The national income of the year 1943 in money values was estimated by the Palestine Department of Statistics at £90,000,000 ($363,150,000) as compared with $75,890,000 ($306,216,150) in 1942, and £30,240,000 ($122,018,400) in 1939. As measured in 1939 prices, however, the national income in 1943 was approximately $40,000,000 ($161,400,000), representing an aggregate increase of roughly one-third in the volume of production of goods and services above the 1939 level.
