American Jewish Congress Asks Roosevelt Action on Palestine Jewish Commonwealth

Dr. Stephen S. Wise, speaking officially as president of the American Jewish Congress, has called upon president Roosevelt to ask the forthcoming meeting of the Allied leaders that Palestine be opened to “unrestricted Jewish immigration and settlement with a view to establishing it as a free and democratic Jewish Commonwealth.” The plea was included in a telegram of congratulations on the occasion of the president’s inauguration, it was revealed today.
