The World Jewish Congress today announced that various groups affiliated with it in a number of countries on the American continent intend to collect fifty million pounds of clothing and medicaments to be sent to needy Jews in Europe.
The campaign has already been started in the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Peru, the announcement said, adding that “clothing in the value of over a million dollars has been collected so far in these five countries.”
