A plea for representation of “the Hebrew People” by the Hebrew Committee of National Liberation at the San Francisco Conforence was made yesterday in the Senato by Senator Warren Magnusson of Washington. Senator Magnusson explained that he referred to the two million ‘stateless Jews’ and Hebrew nationals resident in Palestine.

Declaring “it is not a good augury for world peace that among all the people of the world the Hebrews of Palestine and their brethren in Europe abone will be excluded from representing their cause before the council of the United Nations,” Magnusson urged the American delegates to the conference to “heed the voice of this people at the conference and make certain that the hand of justice is not outweighed by too much consideration for oil and headdresses.”
