The Syrian legation in London said today that it was authorized by its Government to deny that an underground army was being organized in Syria and Lebanon.
The statement was a denial of one made last Thursday by Jamal Husseini, chairman of the Arab Higher Committee, that such an army was ready to cross the border into Palestine to help Palestinian Arabs.
