The Prague Jewish Community Council has issued a statement warning all persons of Jewish origin that only professing Jews can be buried in Jewish cemeteries.

The warning was occasioned by the fact that many Jews who returned from concentration camps registered either as Christians or as “persons of no religion.” Among them are even persons who attend synagogue services regularly.
