National Council of Jewish Women Convention Closes; Re-elects Mrs. Welt President

A resolution endorsing increased immigration of displaced persons into the United States was adopted over the week-end at the closing session of the 19th triennial convention of the National Council of Jewish Women, which re-elected Mrs. Joseph M. Welt president. The establishment of a committee to investigate the possibilities for the Council to participate in Palestinian cultural life was also announced.
