Rep, Francis Case, Republican of South Inkota, suggested today that displaced persons in the American and British zones of Germany be imported to the United States to help out with our farm labor program.

In a statement issued by his office today Case said he had suggested to the State and Agriculture Departments that workers for the $20,000,000 farm labor program be recruited from available workers in Germany rather than from Jamaica and Mexico. Case said his proposal could obtain “needed farm labor of very good quality,” out relief costs abroad, and reduce the population pressures in Germany.
