The role played by the Hapoel soccer team, now visiting the United States, in the life of the Jewish community in Palestine, was described today at a reception given for the group by Jewish organizations.

Mordecai Zhilist, one of the team’s officials, described the Palestinian Jew’s pride in the group and expressed the hope that more frequent visits by Palestinian and American sports groups could be arranged to help cement friendly relations.
