Norway is taking concrete steps to aid homeless Jews and at the same time build up its skilled manpower. The first contingent at 300 Jewish refugees from Germany and 300 from Poland will arrive in a few weeks.
The government plans to permit the newcomers to apply for Norwegian citizen(##) after five years’ residence. However, in the meantime, they will be quartered (##)arily in camps near Mysen and will have a three-month acclimatization course, (##)vering Norwegian culture, history, language and civics, with intensive study of (##) teminology of the trade or craft which they will follow.
