Unity of all Orthodox relief groups for more effective overseas aid was urged at the opening session of the 36th convention of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the U.S. and Canada, by Rabbi Israel Rosenberg, president of the organization.
He stressed that more religious schools and kosher kitchens must be established in DP camps to keep alive Jewish tradition and culture. Rabbi Rosenberg also outlined a plan for the support of rabbinical schools in this country.
